While construction of the first phase of the port is progressing in Jinhae, production of the caissons for the port entrance breakwaters is also now in full swing.
For the breakwater project, we are once again working with our long-standing customer, Hyundai E&C.
Another milestone in our history: for the second time, we are producing two caissons simultaneously using our gantry slipform system.

As production progresses, the caissons are transferred between the different workstations and eventually onto the floating dock using our IP-CCV transfer system — ensuring efficient, safe and reliable handling of these massive marine structures.
The Breakwater project represents one of several important steps in the Korean government’s long-term strategy to expand Busan’s port capacity, with the ambition of strengthening Busan’s position as a global maritime hub and developing it into one of the world’s largest ports by 2045.
